PETER POLLEY
Biography of Preacher Peter Polley Ngoah

Peter Polley Ngoah, traditionally known as Nana Sayi, is a Ghanaian preacher, missionary, Christian apologist, Bible teacher, and passionate defender of the Christian faith. Born and raised in Half Assini, Ghana, Peter developed a strong interest in education, service, and the study of the Bible. His journey has taken him through different educational institutions, professional experiences, countries, and ultimately into a life devoted to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Early Life and Education
Peter Polley Ngoah began his formal education at Half Assini Catholic Junior High School, where he completed his junior high education. He subsequently proceeded to Nsein Senior Secondary School for his secondary education.
After secondary school, Peter attended Komenda College of Education, where he spent one year. His educational journey later took him beyond Ghana when he gained admission to Shandong University of Science and Technology. During this period of his life, he also had the opportunity to undertake research in Thailand, giving him valuable exposure to different cultures, academic environments, and international experiences.
Peter’s educational and professional journey has contributed to the broad perspective he brings to his ministry. His experiences outside Ghana helped shape his understanding of people from different backgrounds and strengthened his desire to communicate biblical truth to a diverse audience.
Professional Experience
Before dedicating himself fully to preaching and missionary work, Peter worked in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with Top Link Construction Company. His professional experience exposed him to the realities of working in an international environment and interacting with people from different nationalities and cultures.
Although he had established himself professionally, Peter eventually made the decision to resign from his employment in order to pursue theological and ministerial training. This became an important turning point in his life as he sought to devote himself more fully to the service of God and the proclamation of the Gospel.
Ministry Training and Calling
Following his professional career, Peter gained admission to the West Coast School of Preaching and subsequently studied with the Bear Valley Bible Institute. Through his theological and biblical training, he deepened his knowledge of Scripture, preaching, evangelism, Christian doctrine, apologetics, and the work of the local church.
After his training, Peter began serving as an itinerant preacher, travelling to different congregations and communities to preach, teach, conduct Bible studies, participate in Gospel campaigns, and encourage Christians in their faith.
His ministry has taken him to many congregations and communities across Ghana. His work includes both traditional pulpit ministry and outreach beyond the walls of church buildings, with a particular interest in reaching people who may have little opportunity to hear biblical teaching.
Missionary Work
Peter Polley Ngoah now serves as a missionary, dedicating his efforts to evangelism, Bible teaching, Christian encouragement, and community outreach.
His missionary vision extends beyond simply preaching from a pulpit. He believes that the Gospel should be taken to communities, villages, streets, homes, social media platforms, and wherever people can be reached with the message of Christ.
His ministry has included preaching in rural communities, visiting developing areas, participating in outreach programs, supporting efforts to assist people in need, and encouraging Christians to become more active in the work of the Lord.
Through these activities, Peter seeks to combine evangelism, biblical teaching, Christian compassion, and service to communities.
Christian Apologetics and Biblical Defense
One of the most distinctive aspects of Peter Polley’s ministry is his commitment to Christian apologetics—the defense of the Christian faith through Scripture, reason, evidence, and careful examination of religious claims.
Peter is particularly passionate about helping Christians understand what the Bible teaches and equipping them to respond to questions and objections raised against Christianity.
He regularly addresses difficult biblical and theological subjects, including questions about the identity of the church, salvation, baptism, biblical authority, Christian worship, prophecy, biblical interpretation, church history, and competing religious teachings.
His approach emphasizes examining claims in their biblical, historical, linguistic, and theological contexts rather than accepting religious assertions without investigation.
Public Debates and Religious Discussions
As part of his apologetic ministry, Peter Polley has participated in a number of public debates and religious discussions.
He has engaged in discussions on Liz Media with an outspoken Latter-day Saint preacher in Ghana, addressing important questions concerning the Bible, the church, doctrine, and the claims of the Latter-day Saint movement.
He has also participated in discussions and debates on Rescue Mission TV, where various Christian and religious subjects have been examined publicly.
Peter has further engaged in debate with the Nigerian preacher known as Apostle Godhem, as well as with other individuals involved in religious discussions and theological controversies.
These engagements reflect Peter’s desire to encourage people to examine religious teachings carefully and to allow the Scriptures to speak for themselves.
For Peter, apologetics is not simply about winning an argument. It is about defending truth, helping people think biblically, answering sincere questions, and pointing people toward Jesus Christ and the authority of God’s Word.
Digital and Social Media Ministry
Peter Polley Ngoah also recognizes the tremendous opportunity provided by modern technology for spreading the Gospel.
He has worked with the “The churches of Christ worldwide” social media ministry and has used digital platforms to share preaching, Bible lessons, apologetic discussions, interviews, debates, missionary activities, and Christian educational content.
Through platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Telegram, his ministry seeks to reach people beyond geographical boundaries.
The digital aspect of his ministry allows biblical teaching to reach audiences who may never have the opportunity to attend one of his physical preaching engagements. It also provides a platform for Christians to access Bible lessons, ask questions, examine controversial teachings, and participate in discussions about faith.
Evangelism and Community Outreach
A major emphasis of Peter’s ministry is evangelism. He believes that the Great Commission remains the responsibility of Christians and that the message of Christ must continue to be proclaimed to every generation.
His outreach efforts have included preaching in churches and communities, rural evangelism, Gospel campaigns, Bible studies, interviews, public discussions, and missionary visits.
Peter is also interested in demonstrating Christian love through practical assistance to people in need. His vision for missionary work includes not only proclaiming the Gospel but also showing compassion toward communities and individuals facing difficult circumstances.
He believes that Christian service should point people beyond the material assistance itself and ultimately toward the love, hope, and salvation found in Jesus Christ.
Ministry Philosophy
At the heart of Peter Polley’s ministry is a commitment to Christ and the authority of Scripture.
He seeks to encourage people to examine the Bible for themselves, rather than simply accepting religious traditions or human opinions. His preaching emphasizes biblical authority, obedience to God’s Word, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the importance of the church, Christian living, evangelism, and faithful service.
Peter also emphasizes that the preacher should not become the center of the message. His desire is for his ministry to exalt Jesus Christ rather than promote a personality.
His ministry can therefore be summarized by a desire to:
- Preach Jesus Christ and the Gospel.
- Defend the reliability and authority of the Bible.
- Encourage people to study Scripture carefully.
- Equip Christians to answer religious objections.
- Promote biblical Christianity and faithful Christian living.
- Encourage evangelism and missionary work.
- Reach rural and underserved communities.
- Use modern media to spread biblical teaching.
- Encourage Christians to serve others with love and compassion.
A Growing Ministry
Peter Polley Ngoah continues to develop his ministry through preaching, missionary activities, apologetics, public discussions, digital evangelism, and community outreach.
His journey—from Half Assini to different educational institutions, international experiences, professional employment in Dubai, ministerial training, itinerant preaching, and missionary service—has given him a unique story of preparation and service.
Today, he continues to travel, preach, teach, defend the Christian faith, engage in theological discussions, encourage congregations, and use modern communication platforms to reach people with the message of the Bible.
His vision is not merely to become known as a preacher, but to become increasingly useful in the service of Christ by helping people know the Scriptures, understand the Gospel, follow Jesus, and faithfully serve God.
Peter Polley Ngoah’s ministry continues to focus on a simple but powerful conviction: the Gospel of Jesus Christ must be preached, the truth of God’s Word must be defended, and Christians must be encouraged to live out their faith.
Through preaching, missions, apologetics, education, digital evangelism, and service to communities, Peter seeks to dedicate his life and abilities to the advancement of the Gospel and the glory of God.
